The Land Against, pt. 2 (a Trophy Dark incursion)

The headache and voices are still here. I…we still don’t know where we are and how we can find the way… despite the way is obviously here — fancy tan roadblocks between the tall green grass. Ha-ha, the same color as my hair now. Today… if we can mention it as the day we will try to go out again. Because we…because I should escape this rural hell. Whatever the cost. — from paper scraps found on the lone scarecrow.

The Land Against, Part Two is a short and gritty Trophy Dark incursion, settled in a modern war-horror setting. It’s a story about losing yourself, unreality, metaphors, hopeless escaping, betrayals, and inevitable disappearing. Somehow it can be connected with the current historical events, but it’s only a matter of interpretation.

In this story, you'll try to escape from a hostile and psychedelic dreamland. The time and space will try to do the strange things. The characters will have a grudge against each other. Their bodies will try to betray them again and again. And sooner or later they'll encounter something more frightening than all this, something striking directly from their past.

This incursion was written in 2022, shortly after the Russians openly invaded Ukraine, and today, on the anniversary of the tragedy, we released it in English for all who care. With all due respect to all victims of the current ugly and horrific tragedy, but, of course, without any respect for all who start the wars, now and then.
